Projects

The German Division sees itself not only as a community, but also as an active project platform within the Starship Troopers environment. Over the years, a wide range of projects has emerged: original film and media work, event appearances, collaborations, interviews, and contributions to productions and promotions with a clear thematic connection.

This page offers an initial overview of selected milestones and notable projects.

What Defines Our Projects

Our projects do not happen by chance. They are driven by the aim of presenting the Starship Troopers theme in a visible, credible, and well-designed way. In some cases, the focus lies on representation and staging; in others, on documentation, encounters, or concrete project work within a production context.

The range extends from our own creative formats to collaborations with organisers, productions, and brand partners. What matters to us is that content, appearance, and execution form a coherent whole.

Selected Projects

Fan Film (2022)

Our fan film marked an important step from pure representation toward independent staged project work. The focus was not only on visual execution, but also on the question of how atmosphere, visual language, and thematic identity could be translated into a distinct format of our own.

This project represents a key milestone because it showed that the German Division is not only capable of appearing as a unit, but also of developing and delivering its own visual and narrative concepts.

Future Gate Prague with Michael Ironside (2023)

Our participation at Future Gate in Prague was a special project in several respects. On the one hand, the event itself offered a highly fitting thematic setting; on the other, it created direct points of contact with personalities connected to the Starship Troopers universe — including Michael Ironside.

For us, such encounters are more than simple fan moments. They are part of our broader effort to document and strengthen the connection between community, production, performers, and public presence.

Gamescom 2024 – Roll-out of Starship Troopers: Extermination (Knights Peak)

With the roll-out of Starship Troopers: Extermination at Gamescom 2024, we were able to contribute our thematic presence within a major public setting. Projects of this kind are especially interesting to us because they show how visual representation, brand connection, and event context can work together effectively.

For the German Division, this project was an example of how community-based expertise can become a professional contribution to presentation, atmosphere, and recognisability.

DotEmu 2025 – FMV Production Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War

Our involvement in the FMV production environment of Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War for DotEmu stands as an example of project-based collaboration on a more advanced creative and conceptual level. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that this was not limited to providing existing equipment, but also involved targeted work specifically for the production.

Projects like this show that the German Division does not function merely as a representation group, but is also able to contribute concrete creative and craft-based work within suitable production contexts.

Encounters, Interviews, and Documented Connections

A recurring aspect of our work is the documented engagement with actors, contributors, and personalities connected to the Starship Troopers universe. This includes encounters at events as well as interviews and recorded conversations.

One example is the interview with Rock Galotti in Berlin in 2020. For us, such contacts are an important part of our project culture: they connect fandom, documentary interest, and thematic depth in a way that goes beyond outward presentation alone.

Projects as a Development Path

Looking back, it becomes clear that these individual milestones are not isolated incidents. Taken together, they form a visible development: from our first original formats to public appearances and further toward project-based collaborations with broader visibility.

That is where the real value of this work lies for us. Projects make visible what the German Division stands for: reliability, thematic competence, a strong sense of design, and the willingness not only to develop ideas, but to realise them in a convincing form.

Outlook

This overview is intentionally only a first selection. Additional projects, background information, documentation, and detailed reports will gradually be added on the corresponding subpages.

In this way, individual milestones will over time form a coherent picture of our development.
